Anglican Mission Winter Conference - Day 2

Update from the Anglican Mission Winter Conference

Greetings from Greensboro!

One of the highlights of Winter Conference for me the past several years has been the excellent Bible studies provided each morning by Dr. J.I. Packer. Yesterday's study of John 15 was well worth getting up early to attend. We were able to talk with Dr. Packer right afterward and will have a video greeting from him to share with you tomorrow.

Yesterday afternoon we attended a gathering of the Little Rock Network (which is the regional group of churches in the Anglican Mission that Christ Church is a part of). I've been a part of the network since it launched about nine years ago. It's amazing to see how God has multiplied the number of churches in the network over that time. We welcomed several new congregations this year, including Trinity Anglican just down the road in Lago Vista.

Right after the meeting, we talked with Bishop Philip Jones, who provides apostolic and pastoral oversight to the churches in the Little Rock Network. Bishop Jones will visit Christ Church on April 18 and will be conducting Confirmation during our worship service that Sunday. We asked Bishop Jones to explain what Confirmation is and why he would encourage you to participate in the upcoming Confirmation Class. His response is today's video highlight from the Winter Conference.
