What if I have questions when I get there?
Members of our Greeting Team will meet you at the entrance to the building. They'll answer your questions, such as "How do I get around this building?" "Where do my children go?" or anything else you would like to know before worship. They can provide you with a map of the building and more information about our worship service. You can download this information in advance below.
We print upcoming events in our weekly bulletin and have visitor cards that can be used to communicate directly with the church staff. Our pastoral team is often available after the service to talk with you. To find out more about what's going on at Christ Church before you visit, subscribe to our weekly eNewsletter.
What is your service like?
Our worship is guided by historical, biblically-based liturgy. You can follow the flow of the service and the scriptures of the day in the bulletin you received on your way into the building. The service is divided into two main sections: the Ministry of the Word, where we read from the Bible, listen to a sermon, and pray as a congregation, and the Ministry of the Table, where we receive Communion--bread and wine blessed in prayer--as our weekly celebration of Jesus' death and resurrection.
All Christians who are baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are welcome to share in communion, regardless of church or denomination tradition. For those who are still on the journey toward God, you can participate in communion as well. You can join us in the hymns and songs sung during Communion, come forward with the congregation and receive a blessing from the priest by crossing your arms across your chest, or receive prayer from the prayer ministry teams at the back of the sanctuary.
What kind of music do you have?
We use many different kinds and styles of music in our worship. Some pieces we sing were written in the last few months and other are classic hymns sung for centuries throughout the Church.
How long is the service?
Our service usually lasts for an hour and a half, ending around 12:00 p.m. After the service, coffee and refreshments are available in the entry back of the worship space.
What do you offer for kids?
For children 0-5 years old, we have a fully-staffed nursery. Children may be checked in beginning 15 minutes before each worship service and can be picked up after the service concludes. Parents are welcome to visit their children in the nursery at any time.
Our Kids Quest Sunday program offers Biblical instruction, fellowship, and worship for school-age children. Children are dismissed during the first part of the service and follow the cross to Kids Quest. After the Passing the Peace, which happens in the middle of the service, the children return to the worship service so they can participate in Communion with their families.
Children are always welcome to remain with their parents during the entire service.
